WARTA LOMBOK - Despite their talent and popularity, the hard work and efforts of Korean stars Kim Nam Gil, Song Joong Ki, and others have yet to pay off as they failed to bag any awards at major ceremonies.
There is a saying that nothing lasts forever in this world, maybe it relates to what was experienced by top Korean actors who were at the peak of popularity.
But for them career ups and downs are commonplace especially in the Korean entertainment industry.

The seven artists below failed to win awards this year but they still get high appreciation from fans.
1. Song Joong Ki
Considered part of the A-list actors for previous big projects from dramas to movies, Song Joong Ki has been a crowd favorite ever since he built a name in the industry.
He has won trophies for Popular Actor, best couple award, and more during his early years in acting.
In 2016 and 2021, Joong Ki was nominated for Best Actor for his dramas “Descendants of the Sun” and “Vincenzo.”

However this time he failed to bag any awards in those years, but the actor continues to receive great support from his fans.
2. Kim Nam Gil
He has won Best New Actor in 2010 in the phenomenal series "Queen Seondeok" at the Baeksang Arts Awards. It seems that many have forgotten how great actor Kim Nam Gil is.
He starred in the hit drama “The Fiery Priest” and his most recent drama “Through the Darkness,” but no matter how good he looks, the Korean star hasn't won a solo award since 2010.
3. Ji Sung
In 2013, he received his first Best Actor Award for the series "Secret Love." Ji Sung has three Best Actor Awards under his belt and one Daesang for MBC's “Kill Me, Heal Me.”
He has been in the industry for 23 years and has played many roles. However, despite winning the Grand Prize in 2015, the actor has yet to receive a trophy from the prestigious Baeksang Arts Awards.
With pleasure, fans and viewers appreciate Ji Sung's ability as an actor. His acting skills are said to be a legend in the Korean acting industry.
4. Hyun Bin
The newly married actor is now back on other entertainment shows. He has already become a household name in Hallyu for his past projects. He became more prominent in the public eye when he starred in “My Name is Kim Sam Soon” and “Secret Garden.”
Despite receiving many good scripts and delivering outstanding performances, Hyun Bin failed to get a nomination from the prestigious award ceremony.
5. Namgoong Min
Despite receiving major awards at various broadcast station ceremonies every year, Namgoong Min failed to win the Baeksang Arts Awards during the three years he was nominated.
But for the record, Namgoong Min bagged big awards in his past dramas for outstanding acts like “Remember,” “Good Manager,” and “Hot Stove League.” Unfortunately, he was not nominated at this year's Baeksang Awards Ceremony.

On the other hand, the actor never fails to impress the audience with his talent and hard work in every drama comeback. From action, romance, and suspense, to comedy, Goong Min can pull it off.
6. Lee Joon Gi
Among the Korean stars mentioned above, only Lee Joon Gi was not nominated at Baeksang and other prestigious ceremonies. But he did manage to take home the Daesang at various network awards.
The main star of "Flower of Evil" also appears in Hollywood series and makes challenging yet amazing action skills for new movie roles.
7. Ji Chang Wook
Known for his strong presence on screen, Ji Chang Wook has captivated many with his talent in acting. Unfortunately, he had never been to a prestigious award ceremony.
But Chang Wook succeeded with his appearances in “Smile Again,” “Empress Ki,” and “Healer” and took home major trophies in various broadcasting company award ceremonies.

On the other hand, not winning or receiving a nomination at a prestigious award event is not proof that this Korean actor is not capable of making it big.
